"on the radio -oh-oh-oh-oh"

Ok-first think Donna Summer's song for the title.....are you done? Ok! We had our very first radio interview with KUNV jazz station in Las Vegas with Mr. John Nasshan. It was so much fun and really interesting to see how it all works. We had known about this for a couple weeks and we kept trying to imagine how we would fill the time needed and what we would say. Well, thanks to John's fantastic interviewing skills, the time seemed to fly by with ease. He brought out our personalities in a really fun way and yet made sure to cover the important facts, like our CD release and our current show schedule. It also made us think about what we are all about and what our goals for our group really are. More on our goals in a later post....Back to the interview, we brought some of rough mix tracks from our CD for them to play on the breaks. We didn't get to hear the finished product as it was being mixed and lightly edited. We will receive a copy and when it will be aired soon as it was actually "live to tape". After the interview we hung around for a while and chatted with John, who is a real character and a wonderful musician (drummer) with lots a great stories. He also is the drummer in the Monuments Trio. Honestly, you need to check them out! They are a jazz trio -- our regular piano player Tony Bronco is the pianist for this band. Here is the link to their myspace page http://www.myspace.com/monumentstrio

So, friends, we are off to another busy week and this time we are doing a photo shoot with Jon Wayne Productions so stay tuned........
